Five Months Old

Happy FIVE MONTHS to our sweet little Eloise!

Eloise can roll from belly to back and back to belly. She can scoot forward on her knees and grab her toes. Eloise is fascinated with hands (including her own). Her favorite person is her brother. He is still the only one who can make her laugh! She loves to nap on her daddy's chest and letting her puppy lick her toes. She is still exclusively breastfed and shows no interest in trying foods any time soon. Eloise loves having her picture taken, swimming, playing with toys, and screeching as loud as she can. She is always smiling! Eloise loves to put everything in her mouth and drool on it, so we suspect some teething in her near future! 

We are all still lovestruck by this beautiful girl every day. She is so loving and lovable and perfect in every single way.

4th of July 2013

Although us Drakes are not huge fans of fireworks (loud sounds? no thanks!), we still had a nice, relaxing 4th of July this year. We didn't have any plans and didn't really want any. William has been working hard lately and time as a family without obligations to get things done has been scarce. SO, we chose to spend the day dressed with no where to go! We all hung out on the couch watching movies and played on the porch and shared a big, homemade cheeseburger and bacon pizza. After the kids went to bed, William and I had sat on the porch to see a couple fire works and watched movies of our own. 

Even though it wasn't terribly eventful or memorable, we had a good time just getting to laze around as a family. We have a long weekend, much which needs to be spent cleaning, so it was especially nice just to give in to the temptation of the couch for once!
